It shows up differently for everyone. But if any of this sounds familiar, therapy can help.

You are tired no matter how much you rest. Getting through the day takes everything you have, and there is nothing left over.

You're going through the motions but nothing feels right.

Hobbies, people, activities that used to matter feel flat. You go through the motions but nothing feels worth it.

Past experiences that still shape how you feel today.

You cancel plans. You stop reaching out. Being around others feels like more than you can manage right now.

A persistent sense that things will not get better, that you are a burden, or that you are not good enough. These thoughts feel true even when you know they might not be.
Depression lies to you about what is possible. With the right support, most people feel meaningfully better. You do not have to take its word for it.
Depression is not laziness, weakness, or a bad attitude. It is a clinical condition with real causes, and it responds well to treatment when that treatment is done right.
Our licensed Florida therapists work with you to understand what is driving your depression, what keeps it going, and how to interrupt the cycle. We do not just give you tools to feel slightly better. We work toward actual recovery.
Our depression therapists are trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Activation, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and trauma-focused approaches including EMDR. These are the most evidence-based methods for treating depression, persistent depressive disorder, and depression that co-occurs with anxiety or trauma. Most clients notice meaningful improvement within 8 to 16 sessions.

A rough patch typically lifts on its own within a few weeks as circumstances change. Depression persists regardless of what is happening externally, affects multiple areas of your life, and often gets worse without treatment. If low mood, low energy, or loss of interest has lasted more than two weeks and is affecting your daily functioning, it is worth talking to someone.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has the strongest research base for depression. Behavioral Activation is particularly effective when motivation and energy are the biggest obstacles. For depression rooted in loss or relationship patterns, Interpersonal Therapy works well. For depression connected to trauma, EMDR and trauma-focused approaches are often the most effective path. Your therapist will recommend the right fit after getting to know you.
Yes. Therapy alone is effective for mild to moderate depression. For moderate to severe depression, a combination of therapy and medication often produces faster results. If medication might be appropriate, our PMHNP can discuss options with you alongside your therapy work.
Many clients notice meaningful improvement within 8 to 16 sessions. Depression that has been present for years or that is connected to trauma or complex life circumstances typically takes longer. Your therapist will be upfront about realistic timelines early in treatment.
