Elizabeth Wolfe, Psy.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Wolfe earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and her Master of Science and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. During her graduate training she gained comprehensive experience by providing psychological services in multiple settings including inpatient medical, community mental health, VA healthcare systems, and outpatient private practice. Additionally, she served in several teaching and research assistant roles, as well as mental health advocacy roles aimed at promoting suicide awareness and prevention. She completed her predoctoral internship at an integrated primary care office, AllCare Medical Centers, where she worked with individuals across the lifespan experiencing a range of mental health diagnoses.
Dr. Wolfe currently specializes in the psychotherapy treatment of trauma and related disorders, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship distress, women’s issues, sexual health and family dynamic problems in adolescents, young adults, and adults. She also offers memory, other cognitive, and medical decision-making capacity evaluations. Her clinical practice is always informed by evidence-based treatment approaches and best practices within the field, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Utilizing these approaches, she enjoys helping individuals feel empowered to direct their own growth and take back power and control in their lives. Dr. Wolfe helps clients gain greater understanding of themselves, improve their self-concept, enhance their family, romantic, friendship and other interpersonal relationships, define healthy boundaries, develop coping skills, and find healing. She enjoys helping clients feel confident in their strengths and abilities to cope with life stressors and develop greater enjoyment in the meaningful parts of their life. She finds passion in providing an optimal therapeutic experience characterized by genuine and non-judgmental interactions that encourages clients to be forthcoming and completely and unabashedly themselves. Lastly, Dr. Wolfe helps clients become confident in applying the skills learned in therapy to their everyday lives in order to promote independence and lasting results beyond the therapy room.
