Robyn Cassel, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist. She began her training specializing in dynamic play and dyadic therapy with children and their families. Since then, she has completed extensive training working with individuals who have experienced trauma. Over the past 5 years, she has worked closely with Rachel Needle, Psy.D. training and conducting group and individual psychotherapy with adolescents, young adults, and couples. Under Rachel Needle’s supervision, Robyn has worked with individuals and couples presenting with a range of relationship and sexual issues. She works with a variety of difficulties including behavioral problems, social skills deficits, attentional difficulties, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, issues related to childhood abuse and trauma, and relationship issues.
Additionally, Robyn has had extensive training in the treatment of issues related to family functioning, parent-child attachment, parenting issues, divorce, adoption, and crisis intervention. Her clinical training began at Nova Southeastern University in the psychoeducational assessment clinic of Dr. Ralph E. Cash, former President of the National Association of School Psychology (NASP). She furthered cultivated her passion for working with preschool and school-aged children during Behavioral Pediatric and Early Childhood rotations at the Mailman Center for Child Development, affiliated with the University of Miami School of Medicine. She continued to expand and refine her skills working with children and families who experienced trauma and abuse during a two-year pre-doctoral internship at the Andrus Children’s Center in Yonkers, New York. Robyn currently works in the Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach offices of the Whole Health Psychology Center. Robyn is currently in training to become a certified sex therapist and is working with individuals and couples struggling with relationship concerns, sexual dysfunction, and sexual compulsivity.
