Meet Our Team

michelle Curry, RCSWI

Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern

Hi my name is Michelle Curry, I know reaching out for help can be challenging
and scary. I want to reduce some uncertainties here for you by telling you
about my approach to therapy. I want to start by acknowledging the amazing
effort it took to begin searching for help. I want to encourage you that it is okay
to feel what you are feeling! You may still be wondering if therapy is right for
you. If your past is negatively impacting your present, if you are overwhelmed
with daily responsibilities, if you have difficulty saying no to others yet trouble
identifying your own needs, if managing your anxiety or depression feels out
of reach for you, then yes, therapy would be beneficial for you.

I provide a welcoming, kind, judgement free environment with acceptance and
openness to listen and explore what is most pressing in your life. It’s okay if
you can’t pinpoint how you feel right now. I work alongside you to explore
solutions, learn real tools, and move past what is hindering your life. I am here
to listen and support you.
I personally experienced overwhelming anxiety that I had to work through and
learn to manage. I used to do everything for everyone and nothing for myself.
I received healing from my past experiences. My journey inspired me to
become a counselor to help others regain control over their life and live
authentically as their very best self.

I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of South
Florida and I am a Certified Crisis, Trauma, and PTSD Counselor specializing
in anxiety, depression, trauma, codependency, crisis, relational issues,
boundaries, grief and a wide range of mental health disorders. I have
experience working with adolescents and adults helping them navigate crisis
situations, process and heal from past trauma, and employ effective coping
skills to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.

I love coming alongside clients as they gain new insights that empower
positive change and healing in their lives. It would be my pleasure to work
alongside you too!
